Top Tips and Handy Hints
Here are some excellent top tips and handy hints. These are some of the things that we have picked up through years of experience and mistakes. We are sure that you will find the tips top and the hints handy.

1) Don't slip on the slippery bits.

2) Never rely solely on a GPS when walking - unless of course you know how it works.

3) Always take one spare pair of pants, especially if you are away for a week or more. Remember you can always turn them inside out for longer life.

4) When you want to use a compass make sure you have one.

5) If you fancy a hot drink or just get a bit tired, don't worry, just call Mountain Rescue. You'll also get the bonus of a free helicopter ride!

6) Never shut your eyes when walking along narrow bits, high up.

7) A toilet roll is very handy - you can use it as a telescope when you reach the summit and look at the scenery and stuff.

8) Always carry several heavy stones in your rucksack so that you can put them on cairns as you go along. Also if you get really tired, you can take them out and feel instantly refreshed.

9) Never talk to strange sheep, even if they say they know your mum & dad and can help you find your way home.

10) If you want to save money on maps, just check out local Gift Shops and buy a quality Tea Towel with a good map of the area you are in. This has the added benefit of drying your hair when you get wet or simply just makes a gift appreciated by your wife or your mum when you return from your trip.
