Larry the Limpet aka Laurence Frewin
Also known as Mustang Larry after the brand of his "cheap as chips" trainers, which despite being excellent value at £7.99 some 9 years ago, are still going strong (see sexy picture on seperate page). With Pathfinder, he is also one of the founders and an "Elder", but this is in name & wiseness only!! His real infamy is his world class snoring. It is amazing that he has survived so many GS campaigns on the fells, as rarely a night goes by without one of the boys threatening to smother his face with a soft and downy pillow if another rumble is heard to escape from his nose or throat.
Out on the fells and mountains of England and Wales he can often be found clinging tightly to the rocks, especially when traversing some of the loftier ridges such as Striding Edge (Helvellyn - Lake District), Grib Goch (Snowdon - North Wales) or Sharp Edge (Blencartha - Lake District). Clearly a natural on the high bits rumour has it that Alan Hinkes has recently asked him to act as 'pacer' for his next 8000m climb in the Himalayas.
